🏭 What is a Factory License?

A Factory License is a mandatory registration certificate issued under the Factories Act, 1948 by the State Labour Department.
It ensures that manufacturing units comply with health, safety, and welfare standards for workers.

Every factory employing 10 or more workers with power, or 20 or more workers without power, must obtain a valid Factory License before starting operations.

  • Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO) from Pollution Control Board

  • NOC from Fire Department and local authority

4. Employee Details

  • Number of workers (men/women)

  • Appointment of factory manager and occupier details

  • Health and safety measures in place
